Gemini in Android Auto can now use Personal Intelligence, answering from your Gmail, Calendar and other Google apps. It's opt-in and started rolling out Oct 20.

What's new

Gemini in Android Auto now supports Personal Intelligence, rolling out since Oct 20, 2026. Ask something like "What's my flight gate? And is my flight on time?" and it can answer from your own Google apps.

What it connects to

It can use Gmail, Calendar, Photos, Maps, YouTube and Search.

It's opt-in

Personal Intelligence is off until you turn it on. You choose which apps to connect, and you can turn it off at any time.

Who gets it

Personal Google accounts, 18 and older. It isn't available in the EEA, the UK, Switzerland or Nigeria. Cars with Google built-in get it in the coming months.

What we don't know yet

No exact date for cars with Google built-in.
