Viggle JST-2 made this 3D world in about one second

Viggle's JST-2 builds explorable 3D scenes in about a second, for under a cent each, per Viggle. Collisions still run on simple rules.

What it is

Viggle, the company behind a meme-making app with more than 50 million users, released JST-2 on October 19. It's a world model that builds 3D scenes, characters and motion you can step into and look around.

How it works

Most video AIs paint flat frames. JST-2 builds a world out of tiny 3D pieces Viggle calls "atoms," each with a position and properties. Because each piece keeps its identity, things stay put when you look away and come back, like real objects in a room.

Fast and cheap, per Viggle

Viggle says JST-2 generates a 3D scene in about one second at an inference cost below $0.01. That timing covers the model running on an NVIDIA B200 chip, not network delays. The finished scene then renders right in your browser, so you can explore it from different angles without running the model again.

What to keep in mind

Characters move with learned motion, but collisions and object interactions in scenes still use hand-written physics rules. Viggle says its next model, JST-3, aims to replace those rules with learned physics. Uses in robot simulation are something Viggle points to, not something it has shown yet.

How to try it

Viggle says you can try it free in your browser through its PINOC app, and developers can ask about API access.
