Gemini 4 Argon taught a Google robot cornhole, Meta Muse and Claude Duet want to run your errands, security stocks rose 7%+ on Fri, Oct 23 as the market fell, and Skyfall launched an engineering world model.

1. Gemini 4 Argon taught a robot cornhole
Gemini 4 Argon, in a Google DeepMind demo, watched a person throw a cornhole bag, then wrote the practice code for an Apptronik Apollo humanoid robot by itself. The robot sank 7 throws in a row. In the Gemini app, Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers can switch from chat to tasks, and it keeps working while they are away.
2. Meta Muse: a free AI you text like a friend
Muse handles email, bills, bookings and shopping. In Meta's demo it found a stroller and asked before buying it. It always checks before it sends or buys anything. It launched in the US in September, came to iPad in October, and started rolling out in Japan on October 23.
3. Claude Duet messages you first
Anthropic's new app sends you a short brief every morning. Hand it a job, like a sales dashboard, and it keeps working while you step away. Before it sends, pays for or deletes anything, it waits for your OK. It is a waitlist preview for Claude Pro and Max users in the US.
4. Security stocks rose 7%+ on Fri, Oct 23, a down day
In the US session on Friday, October 23, Palo Alto Networks, Cloudflare and SailPoint each rose more than 7%, while the S&P 500 fell 0.5% to 7,623.68. The trigger was an Evercore ISI survey of security software resellers that said budgets are getting stronger into year-end. Earlier in the week, the PHP project disclosed critical flaws found with help from AI. Not financial advice.
5. Skyfall SKY-001: a world model for engineering
Skyfall AI launched SKY-001, which plans and assembles designs like an engine, part by part. In Skyfall's own CAD design test, it was 51 times faster than a frontier AI model. That is the company's benchmark, not an independent one. Access is through a waitlist for now.
